Further easing of restrictions update – commencing 25 June 2021

Dear Members,

Following the Acting Premier’s announcement regarding the further easing of restrictions from Friday 25 June 2021, please find a summary of the relevant restrictions below, noting that the Restricted Activity Directions which will potentially contain greater detail, won’t be released until Friday. Although there are still restrictions in place, it is good news and I hope this will enable more staff to return to work and help businesses pick up again.

Lotteries

Metro Melbourne

  • Density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies.

Regional Victoria

  • The density quotient of 1 person per 2 sqm applies when using a COVID Check-in Marshal, otherwise, density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies
  • Venues can have up to 25 patrons before the density quotient applies
  • No COVID Check-in Marshal required.

A reminder that masks must still be worn indoors and patron (and staff) check-in using the Victorian Government QR code service/kiosk service is mandatory in businesses across the state and must be enforced by staff/COVID Marshals upon entry. It is also recommended that venue operators and businesses take the time to review their COVIDSafe Plans on a regular basis, to ensure recent changes in requirements are reflected.

Yours sincerely,
