The Department of Employment, Small Business, and Training administers grants and programs to help Queensland small business continue to recover, grow and thrive by committing grant funds for businesses to increase key capabilities, embrace innovation, and assist high-growth businesses to capitalise on opportunities.

NLNA Covid-19 Update: Mask Rules Extension in South Queensland
Dear Members,
QLD COVID ALERT
Mask rules extended for Southeast Queensland
Masks will continue to be mandatory in the following local government areas for the next seven days, until Friday 6 August. This represents a week-long extension of the rule, which was initially planned to be removed tomorrow.

- Lockyer Valley Regional Council
- Logan City
- Noosa Shire Council
- Redland City
- Scenic Rim Regional Council

NLNA Covid-19 Update: Tighter restrictions in NSW
Dear Members,
NSW COVID ALERT
New police powers and fines; tighter restrictions for LGAs of Concern
The NSW Government has announced that, from 12.01 am on Friday 30 July, tighter restrictions will apply to the eight LGAs of concern.
Stricter mask rules will apply, which require people to wear a mask any time they leave the house.
Further, residents can only move within a 5km radius of their home, reduced from 10km.
These restrictions will apply to the eight LGAs outlined below:
- Fairfield
- Cumberland
- Liverpool
- Canterbury-Bankstown
- Blacktown
- Parramatta
- Georges River
- Campbelltown
Further, NSW Police will also be given additional powers to close a public premise, worksite, workplace, or a business if they continue to ignore public health orders.
The penalty for not wearing a mask when required will be increased from $200 to $500.
Police will increase compliance and presence beyond current levels.
